We want to just give you a quick update about some upcoming changes here at C-Prompt. Many of you will not even notice these changes; however, we want to let you know to be on the lookout for a couple of things.
We are in the process of changing our ticketing software. The motivation for this is actually due to a need to change our vendor for our managed service, and we are going with a company that combines the managed service along with the ticketing software.
This coming Friday around 6:00 pm the conversion is happening. All invoices, tickets, and other information will be migrated over. However, during this time, if you send an email to email@example.com or send a reply to a ticket, that email or reply may either bounce back or may get lost in cyberspace. We will be working to redirect emails appropriately, but if you send an email Friday evening, it may not reach us.
Moving forward, once everything is configured properly, which should be finished either Friday evening or on Saturday, the one noticeable change that will be seen is that ticket replies will be coming from “Support Technician”, rather than one of us. In the new system, for the time being we will be using a shared login account. We will be working to train ourselves to include our name at the end of a reply, so you know who is responding, but there may be occasional lapses. Rest assured, we are still working on your ticket, but it may not always be as clear WHO you are responding to.
One other MAJOR addition that will come out later has to do with expansions to our Managed Service. We will be able to offer more packages, with fewer options than our full package that many people enjoy. Be looking for details on this in the future, but we believe we will have more Managed Service packages that will interest more people.
